| Hellooo from Fame Game!
We’ve turned another page in the calendar, it’s now November! Hope by now you’ve adjusted all your clocks to daylight savings - not sure we like how it gets dark so early now, but bring on the crisp weather! Let’s hear it for new jobs, million-dollar bonuses, and more, in this week’s round-up!
- Anna Wintour’s daughter Bee Shaffer is going to work for Notional, a new spinoff multimedia production company out of IAC-owned CollegeHumor.com. Notional is headed by Ricky Van Veen. Read more about the venture here.
- J Crew gives its Creative Director Jenna Lyons a healthy $1 million dollar bonus. Wow. Guess those trendy necklaces for fall are really paying off.
- Peter Brant ordered to pay Stephanie Seymour $27,000 per month in alimony while their divorce proceedings are underway.
- Louis Vuitton has hired Gabriel Aubry for the latest ad campaign. Gabriel is Halle Berry’s beau and the father of her child, and is rumored to be paid $30,000 per day as a model.
- The New York Times ran a profile of Raj Rajaratnam, the billionaire hedge fund manager charged with trading on inside information. (Raj has been a Top Most Visited Profile on Fame Game for several weeks now.)
- Alex Rodriguez is thinking of becoming a Buddhist for Kate Hudson.
- Author Anisha Lakhani writes about the Museum of Art and Design Paperball for Pink Memo.
- See award-winning journalist and author Harry Hurt interview Taos pueblo women in his videos on www.harryworldofhurt.com.
- Rebecca Minkoff will be making personal appearances at Henri Bendel on November 6th and 7th to showcase her newest accessories collection. Also check out Kara Ross’s window display at Henri Bendel this week!
- Coralie Charriol Paul and Eva Jeanbart Lorenzotti are in Dubai speaking at the Leaders in Luxury 2009 Summit.
- Downtown socialite Allison Sarofim’s halloween party did not disappoint. This year’s theme was “Eighties downtown New York” and Marc Jacobs, Carlos Souza,
Theodora Richards, Valentino, Nicole Miller, Yvonne Force Villareal, Cynthia Rowley all attended in costume.
- Check out Wisk-It: an application to help scrub those regrettable Halloween photos from Facebook.
- Upcoming events: TONIGHT: Jimmy Choo and Vogue host the launch of Project PEP to benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation. And the Fete d’Hiver sponsored by Chanel to benefit the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Tomorrow, don’t miss the book launch party for “The Kingdom of New York”, a collection of the New York Observer’s best moments over the past 20 years, and Esquire Soho’s VH1 Save the Music Benefit. And as always, visit our home page for information on other events.
