The Transportation Security Administration has announced that it collected nearly $47,000 in loose change at JFK airport last year, mostly from people rushing through security. That’s a heckuva lot of change - just wondering if there are any lost wallets in there, or perhaps abandoned contraband currency aka undeclared cash of foreigners entering the U.S.? There must be some Russian billionaires trying to bring suitcases of cash in to buy their daughters penthouse apartments, n’est-ce-pas? Here’s your weekly round-up…

• Glamactress Sofia Vergara’s boyfriend Nick Loeb is the proud creator of “Loeb’s Onion Crunch“, a crispy topping for hamburgers and hot dogs. Sold in 3,000 stores and soon launching at Costco, Internet sales spiked ten-fold when People Magazine reported it was Sofia’s favorite topping.
